Aim
This research was conducted to determine adaptation of Kütahya sour cherry variety to South Eastern Mediterranean region, and to select high quality varieties.
Materials and Methods
In this project, 3 alien and 6 Kütahya sour cherry varieties (Kütahya 1, 1307, 1310, 1317, 1355, 1360, Montmorency, early Richmond and Heimanns Rubin Werchesel) were tested. In this experiments, 7 phonological observations were done and technological values of fruits that were yield, fruit flesh, petiole, seed, fruit juice quality and colour, taste, dry matter/acidity, size and attractiveness.
Results
1317 and 1360 resulted the highest quality criteria and were noted as optimistic varietiesfor the South Eastern Mediterranean region (Table 1). In the case of yield Montmorency and Richmond were noted, but because of the low quality, they were not suggested for introduction.
