EVALUATION OF SYSTEMIC LIQUID FERTILISERS ON PRODUCTIVITY AND QUALITY OF PISTACHIO

Objective
This study carried out to determine the effects of systemic liquid fertilisers including different names and compositions on quantity and contents of plant nutrient components on the leaves of pistachio. This study supported by TUBITAK.
Materials and Methods
In this study, 5 commercial systemic liquid fertiliser and urea dissolved in water were used. The fertilisers in 200, 400, and 600 ml dissolved in 100 lt water were applied to the leaves 1 2 and 3 times in a 20 days period at the beginning of May.
Results
The results of this research showed that wuxal-3 and wuxal-5 increased the Nitrogen content of the pistachio leaves. First year, no change was onsedved in the phosphate content of the pistachio leaves. Second year, Bayfalon and wuxal-5 increased the P level of the pistachio leaves. While the application of wuxal and wuxal-5 did not increase the Ca and Cu levels, wuxal-5 increased Mg and Fe levels. Second application of all of the systemic liquid fertilisers significantly increased Zn levels of the pistachio leaves.
Systemic liquid fertilisers applied from the leaves increased the length of shot. This result was especially obtained when Bayton, wuxal-3 and wuxal-5 were applied. Systemic liquid fertilisers applied from the leaves were not found to be effective on fat content and weight of pistachio.
