Objective
The objective of this study was to determine the effect of different budding types of Dimiski grapes on yield in Gaziantep.
Materials and Methods
Dimiski grape variety was budded with 9 types including short scattered, long scattered, short scatterless, long scatterless, mixed scatterer and scatterless, shot guyot, long uncontrolled goble, mixed uncontrolled goble. The effects of 9 types of budding were compared.
Results
The highest yield (517.5 kg/da) was obtained by mixed scatterer budding type. The quality of fruit effected positively using vine which was holded to the high level with scatterer.
The holding of yearly shots and the products 20-30 cm from the soil by stick prevented the contact of the shots and grapes with soil therefore, the yield and the quality were increased, and harmful effects of bugs was prevented. Mixed scatterer budding comparing with the other types provided higher quality.
